Dolphins
It is impossible not to smile and feel joyful in the presence of the playful dolphins.
Their are no less than 7 species of Dolphins that can be found on the Pacific ocean side of Panama. On our tours we commonly see the friendly Pantropical spotted dolphins and the large Pacific Bottlenose dolphins. If we are lucky we may also see the Short-beaked common dolphins or the acrobatic Spinner dolphins, among others.
Humpback Whales are known as the acrobats of the sea because they spend a lot of time at the surface putting on a fantastic show of pectoral fin or tail slapping, breaching, spy hopping or simply resting at the surface. Watching the humpbacks is one of the most satisfying species to watch because you never know when they might breach (jump) completely out of the water and they are often curious about the boats and come super close, sometimes even swim right under us to do a little people watching of their own.

The Emberá Tribe
We will spend the day and night completely immersed with the Emberá people in their village, exploring their culture and history. We will be treated to traditional food, shamanic and celebrational dances and have free time to interact with the Emberá, to swim in the river, play with the children, have long conversations with the villagers and sleep in our own hut!
Why Panama?
This is a common question. “Why should I come to Panama for whale watching?” or even “Why vacation in Panama? It only has a canal.” The truth is Panama has over 2,000 Humpback whales from July-October and is a virtually undiscovered whale watching destination. We are often the only boat out with the whales. Most first time visitors to Panama comment, “I had no idea how much there was to see and do here!” Panama and the Pearl Islands are an uncrowded tropical paradise that is safe for travelers. Panama is much closer, less expensive and easier to get to than most people realize. Panama is so much more than just a canal. Come see for yourself.
